[ Updated for Fall 2010 ] Our open hours are every Tuesday from 12:30pm until 2:00pm. This is the time for our club members to come together and make friends. We often have special activities planned, but other times we just hang out. At least one club Officer is always present at open hours and can answer your questions about the club and give you information about LGBT resources on and off-campus. Some of the things we have in the club room for your enjoyment are: resources and information about services for LGBT people in NYC, free safe sex supplies, TV and DVD player, microwave, electric kettle and tea and cocoa. We're working on getting a setup to play music from an iPod or MP3 player. We also have a library of queer films and books that you can watch/read in the club room or borrow for free. ATTENTION: Sometimes we have events--lectures, workshops--somewhere else on campus on Tuesday during club hours. In this case, the club room will be CLOSED, and you should come to the event at the alternative location, duh! We always post location details on Facebook. Directions to the club room. The club room is located at 153 W.E.B. (West End Building). If you have never been there, it is the building that houses our school's largest computer lab and the Film Department. To get to W.E.B. from Bedford Avenue, enter the West Quad and head left to the path that runs between the new West Quad Building and Roosevelt Hall. Walk past the tennis courts until you get to the W.E.B.. You'll see two doors into W.E.B.: the first door is for the computer lab, the next door is for the "Film Department/Testing Office/Student Clubs"--that's the one you want. All of the clubs are on the first floor. You will see a large open lounge area with doors to all of the club rooms. Look for number 153 on the right close to the entrance. When you see rainbows, you know you've found us. |
